Abstract

The article presents a brief analysis of sound environmental, economic and technological policy in solving the problem of education in the field of municipal solid waste (MSW) management. The authors make emphases on methodology features of educational activity when training specialists in the field of solid waste management. It is revealed that the creation of a new productive industry is impossible without professional training of specialists, who comprehend the problem, have a good handle in the solid waste processing methods, are ready to develop new equipment and technology, and able to take under advisement the mistakes made in this area due to unprofessional approach to business. The implementation of educational programs should be based on use of original course books, tutorial and resource materials (including test tasks and test sessions and videos), which have been already developed in Russia, though yet not highly sought. The sanitary cleaning system of the Russian cities from the MSW is in the state of stagnation and does not meet the requirements of the time. To improve the situation in the waste management area we need specialists of a new formation. Learning the course on the MSW management by students should be based on a detailed examination of the MSW recycling technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
