Abstract
- The article explores a history teacher's concerns related to her students' views on the role of historian was one to which they could legitimately aspire. It explores the characteristics that students attributed to historians that alerted teachers to some of the unhelpful assumptions that young people can make about the bases of historians' authority and credibility.
