Abstract

The article discusses how decreasing vaccine coverage rates lead to increased vulnerability to the importation of vaccine-preventable diseases in Brazil. It mentions that maintenance of high vaccine coverage is an important strategy for infectious diseases control in the context of increased global travel due to migration and tourism. It mentions analysis of data on recent infectious disease events in Venezuela.
