Abstract

Public transportation is a means of improving the efficiency of urban travel and alleviating urban congestion. To improve the utilization rate of buses, the most direct and effective way to improve the service level of public transportation vehicles is to improve the efficiency of public transportation operations and reduce delays. This paper mainly studies the setting method of bus priority sensing signal, and proposes five situations that the bus may encounter when passing the detector. Then it analyzes the basis of three priority modes in detail, and discusses the location of the induction coil. It can achieve the priority of public transport, and meet the requirements of minimizing the impact on the rest of the social vehicles. Finally, combined with VISSIM, the green light extension model is simulated to verify the validity of the model. The results show that the green light extension can alleviate the congestion at the intersection and improve the traffic efficiency of the intersection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
