- The article discusses the author's claim that many Chinese researchers question the ethical aspects of scientist He Jiankui's admission that he used CRISPR technology to create HIV-resistant twin girls, and it mentions a potential difference between research ethics in China and Western countries. Bioethical issues in China are addressed, along with a call for tighter regulations in the wake of He Jiankui's CRISPR-based scandal.
