Abstract

The article reports that the social media platform Facebook has provided some technology companies more intrusive access to personal data of users than it has disclosed. According to internal records and interviews obtained by the newspaper "The New York Times," Facebook had exempted its business partners from its privacy rules. The records show the benefits of the exchange of data to Facebook, including an increase in its advertising revenue.
