L'antropologia teologica di Evangelii gaudium. L'uomo «misericordiato» e l'homo respondens.

The article wants to investigate the lines of theological anthropology which underlie Evangelii gaudium. Starting from the notion of «joy» that is the background of the apostolic exhortation (and more generally, of pope Francis' magisterium), the author wonders what - in the pope's opinion - prevents man from experiencing joy and which are the resources offered by the Gospel to reverse this trend. This investigation will bring out that the anthropologic paradigm proposed by pope Francis is that of the man «misericordiato» (receiving mercy) and of the homo respondens, which -- as he said on several occasions -- has current Pelagianism and Gnosticism as its worst enemies and finds its own fulfilment in the new Jerusalem of Ap 21. Pope Francis' theological exercise deserves our interest not only as far as the contents but also as the methods are concerned. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
