The objective of this paper is to demonstrate, through the analysis of the fourth issue of the Duodenarium written by Alonso de Cartagena, his participation in the Woman Question. In order to do so, I analyse the themes addressed by the author, who pretends to refute those who criticize women, and I compare his ideas to those of other authors participating in the debate, such as Giovanni Boccaccio, Juan Rodríguez del Padrón, Diego de Valera, Álvaro de Luna, and Teresa de Cartagena. I finally carry out an assessment of Alonso de Cartagena's thought through the various ways of understanding the concept of woman enunciated by Prudence Allen. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
