Abstract

The clear cell renal carcinoma cutaneous metastases are mainly located in the head and thorax. Its presence establishes a poor prognosis, since it is indicative that the disease is advanced. These lesions are usually asymptomatic and rapidly growing, erythematous or violaceous, with prominent vasculature and well circumscribed; determined by histopathology and immunohistochemistry. Treatment consists of surgical excision and/or chemotherapy in case of multiple lesions. Although skin cell metastases of clear cell renal carcinoma are rare, it is necessary the dermatological description in terms of topography and morphology to relate it to this type of carcinoma, although it is not a good prognosis to find them, it could be a diagnosis of renal carcinoma of clear cells, which might not have had other manifestations. Follow-up skin assessment is suggested for all patients diagnosed with renal cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
