Abstract

In this paper the teaching activities of "mechanical innovation design practice" are studied based on the concept of outcome-based education (OBE) . According to the principles of the reverse design and forward implement of teaching activities, the learning outcomes are emphasized. In order to further clarify the learning outcomes of the various stages, the teaching content of "Mechanical Innovation Design Practice" is integrated and refined. Meanwhile, the " knowledge modules" and " knowledge matrixes" are also constructed through the integration of teaching contents followed by the further clarified learning outcomes of each design stage. The changing of teaching way has achieved the student-centered teaching and outcome-based learning. These reforms cultivate the learning concept of "plied knowledge" , and improve the abilities of discovering and solving questions, and train applying and innovative abilities.
