Abstract

Electricity in Romania is based on obtaining it in thermoelectric power plants. On the territory of Romania there are thermoelectric power plants operating with different types of fuels (gaseous, liquid and solid). At present, the largest amount of electricity is obtained from solid-fuel in thermal power plants. Thermoelectric power plants are considered to be an important source of environmental pollution. These have negative effects on all environmental components. The technological processes from the combustion of certain materials in boilers results a significant amounts of slag and ash waste. Such industries that produce waste as slag and ashes as a result of the process are: obtaining electricity in the thermoelectric power plants. The biggest environmental problems raised by the thermoelectric power plants are air pollution and landscaping. In order to reduce the pollution caused by the slag and ash deposits, they should be ecologized upon completion of the slag and ash deposition process. In this paper will present methods of management of such areas upon completion to the reintroduction of the affected areas in the natural circuit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
