The article offers difference between the Absolute and Incremental Encoders. Topics of discussion includes Incremental encoders convert linear or rotary displacement into digital or pulsed signals while the Absolute rotary encoders give unique position information the moment they are switched on. It further discusses about the Open-and Closed-Loop Operation.
