Risk Factors and Biomarkers of Poor Outcomes: Time to Throw Out Right Ventricular Volumes in Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot? Lessons From the INDICATOR Cohort.

An editorial is presented on the article "Preoperative Predictors of Death and Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia After Pulmonary Valve Replacement in Patients with Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot Enrolled in the INDICATOR Cohort." The authors discuss the results of the study which described preoperative risk factors for postoperative occurrence of death. They suggest the need of more information on the preoperative pathogenesis and postoperative modification of risk factors for poor outcomes.
