This paper introduce a tool for a technical economic analysis of value in use of the metallic burden in iron ore sintering process for commercial technical support in a final price negotiations for iron ore. This tool allows doing a comparative analysis of the impact of the chemical and sizing quality of the iron ore fines on the final cost of production, highlighting the main variable cost items. The methodology of calculation of the value in use can be used by both the steelmakers in the acquisition of the ore and the mining, enabling the valuation of the quality items in the productive process of the customer.
