Abstract

This paper presents two configurations for manifold-coupled triplexers implemented using high-temperature superconductor (HTS) technology. The first configuration offers a bandpass function while the other offers an absorptive bandstop function. Each triplexer configuration offers eight states. Both simulation and experimental results are presented for the two HTS reconfigurable triplexers. Switching between the eight states can be implemented using switches strategically integrated within the filter resonators. Integration of commercial microelectromechanical systems switches with resonators of the HTS filters is demonstrated experimentally to illustrate the concept. The proposed reconfigurable triplexer can be extended to include more than three channels for high Q multifunction filter applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
