Abstract

Abstract We propose a phase noise suppression scheme for RF signal remote fiber transmission based on a photonic phase shifter. Phase noise induced by the temperature variation and mechanical perturbation is suppressed automatically and effectively through a feedback network. The experimental results implement a full 360° phase shift using a microwave signal frequency 6 GHz over 30 km single-mode fiber with the system achieving a better stability performance.
