"Rhetoric of misfortune and testimonial journalism. The creation of the writer Amador Contreras in Gran Sant Cugat (1999-2003)". The paper analyzes the compilation of articles that Amador Contreras published in the local weekly Gran Sant Cugat (Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, 1999-2003) to denounce administrative corruption. The texts have many defects of adequacy, coherence and cohesion. While the merit of the unknown writer is not expressive, he is the example of testimonial journalism that gives tenaciously in a hostile environment. The thesis of the study consists of pointing out the importance of the portrait that the author makes of himself in a series of more than seventy articles.
