Abstract

This paper seeks to investigate the process of fictionalized writing of Anthropology through The Myths' Thief. An Anthropological Novel, written by Francisco Sánchez Pérez, a Spanish anthropologist who launches a literary career. Literary Anthropology is the concept that offers the theoretical frame to analyze the novel, which is as a manifestation of a border and hybrid genre that interweaves anthropological and literary aspects at all levels of the text. The text serves as an example of interdisciplinarity which, in turn, is a result of contemporary interculturalism. The study of fictionalized anthropology brings us to the conclusion that this form of writing serves as a means to reveal new dimensions of human experience and contemporary culture and it offers answers to some of the paradoxes that encircle Anthropology.
