Aiming to the complex type of vehicles and various brands leads to the difficulty of vehicle retrieval, this paper presented a two-level vehicle retrieval method based on depth feature coding. By improving and constructing the deep convolution network to extract the vehicle image feature, and using the two level retrieval strategy and the similarity metric function to achieve the vehicle and vehicle brand search. The retrieval results of three models of cars, trucks and buses show this method can improve the efficiency of vehicle retrieval. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
