- Reports that Eastman Kodak Co.'s first-quarter 2004 profit more than doubled, driven by a surge in sales of digital cameras, photo kiosks, and ink-jet paper. Help from a weak dollar; Earning $28 million or 10 cents a share; Earning 18 cents a share excluding one-time items related to taxes and an acquisition; Beating analysts' expectation of 17 cents; Sales rise by 11 percent to $2.9 billion from $2.6 billion.
