Abstract
- Guidelines support use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) as first line therapy, but it is not clear which patients will favorably respond to CPAP. Severe CSA and OSA with overall AHI of 30.2 was identified, with central apnea/hypopnea AHI of 23.4 Pressure transducer tracing demonstrated upper airway resistance and flow limitation with most central apneas following respiratory arousals related to airway obstruction.
