The following article points to a reflection about the Ministery of Industry, Exterior Commerce and Services - MDIC, referred as "Learning to Export", and the relation between handcraft production and its distribution by digital means. The current debate is on the intersection between the cultural industry, digital media, governmental initiatives and society network, as well as the need to build creative and collaborative communities in the center of such governmental initiatives through the perspective of authors such as Florida (2002), Castells (1999), Lévy (1999), Hall (1999) and Perruzo (2004).
