Abstract

The paper presents an analysis and simulation of a secured data transmission system for parameters characteristic to industrial processes. An automatic system controls the temperature inside a furnace, and temperature values are stored into a data base. In order to be securely delivered into a text file for further transfer and processing, the measured values are encrypted using the RSA algorithm that provides a good encryption rate, has low technical requirements and is hard to be decrypted. The graphical interface of the secured temperature transmission application has been implemented in Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0 environment and it performs functions of process parameters acquisition, graphical representation of their dynamics, and data security using RSA encryption.
