Abstract
- The article reports on the increased risk of diseases including meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), blepharitis and dry eye disease (DED) in patients wearing contact lenses focusing on the role of optometrists in early diagnosis of the symptoms. Topics include a decline in blink rate due to use of digital devices, osmolarity tests, and medical care of contact lens patients.
