Abstract

The article focuses on the campaign of the government of China to encourage parents to have more children which is a reversal for the ruling Communist Party's one-child policy. Topics covered include the call of the Shaanxi government to abolish all birth limits, decision of some Chinese provincial governments to tighten access to abortion and make it more difficult for married people to get divorced and impact of low birth rate on China's labor force.
