Abstract

The article explores how the idea of Confucian role ethics can help people in their moral commitments. Topics discussed include Confucian role-based cultivation strategy based on the Analects of Confucius text, the systematization of social roles based on Confucianism, and Confucian role ethics as an alternative to Western normative theories.
