Abstract
- The article discusses a study that obtained sound levels and acoustic characteristic data in classroom serving children who are deaf and hard of hearing in grades K-2 in Canada and the U.S. Study highlights include signal-to-noise ratio recommended by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, sources of classroom noise, and the concept of the inverse square law.
