Abstract
- NGDOs have had to restore the confidence of society and it has been possible to use communication campaigns on social media. The perceptions and uses of social networks by Community managers of NGDOs are researched. Its goals are: to know the investment, the planning and the efficacy in the use of social networks and to measure the perceptions of these professionals and the use they make of social networks in communication campaigns. A strategy for social research based on getting quantitative data through a survey is used, using as instruments the in-depth interview and the questionnaire to the Community managers of the ten large and very large NGDOs rated by the AECID with the highest percentage of private income. The results show the importance that NGDOs attach the figure of the Community manager, including social networks in the strategic communication plans. Facebook and Twitter are the social networks used in campaigns, although each used with a different audience. The goals that are being met revolve around the interactions of the users with the social networks' profiles of the NGDOs, is that of improving the image of the organization. This confidence together is not accompanied by a greater investment in them. The conclusion shows professionals convinced of the efficacy of social networks, but a discussion is opened about the lack of own measurement methods and the demand for more investment.
