Abstract

Objective: The objective of the study was to assess and compare the knowledge about oral health, hygiene, and adversities of missing tooth among Indian students. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 400 medical and dental undergraduate students in South India, using a questionnaire. Results: The study indicates that the knowledge, attitude, and perception about oral hygiene and missing teeth were inadequate among Indian students. Conclusion: Students require oral health education to improve their oral hygiene practices and knowledge. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
