Election Commission goes after Rev. Al.

Rev. Al Sharpton has accused the Federal Election Commission (FEC) of bias in the wake of a ruling that he contributed more than the legally allowable limit to his presidential campaign while receiving federal matching funds. Sharpton said his campaign disagrees with the FEC ruling and is reviewing the findings to determine if any legal options, including the possibility of litigating, are warranted. Sharpton said that FEC is under enormous pressure from right-wing groups seeking to deny his campaign matching funds through a series of spurious complaints. Sharpton's attorney, said that he was evaluating the possibility of legal challenges to the FEC decision.
