Abstract

The objective of this work is to study digital books and their process of consolidation in the market, in the context of the Information Age, and to investigate the validity of the new reading habits that have been highlighting in the publishing market, which increasingly presents more specific alternatives of formats for your product: the book. In addition to the bibliographic review, a field survey was carried out with twelve publishers from all over the country, from July to September, 2017. A questionnaire was developed to constitute qualitative research using quantitative data. The data collected were analyzed in order to relate the context of the Information Age and digital books. From the analysis, it was found that, despite the difficulties, most publishers it strives to increase the amount of books offered in the digital format. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
