Abstract
- Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is undeniably beautiful. But this feeling is easier to ignore when the view is taken in from the top of the Trawsfynydd nuclear power station's reactor buildings. Here, 55 meter up, it is hard to miss the power of the ingenuity of humankind, in creating buildings of such a scale to generate awesome amounts of electricity. This conflict between nature and industry is on the way to being at least partially resolved, however, with the countryside being largely returned to how it was and the buildings that will remain being a fraction of the size of the current ones.
