A ECONOMIA POLÍTICA DOS ESTADOS UNIDOS E DA CHINA PÓS CRISE DE 2008: INTERDEPENDÊNCIA ECONÔMICA E RELAÇÕES INTERESTATAIS.

The paper aims to analyze the growth pattern of the United States and China in the post - 2008 crisis period and the interconnections between the two countries in terms of trade, financial flows and investments. The research is based on the theoretical contributions of recent authors in the field of International Political Economy: Leo Panitch and Alex Callinicos in their work related to the theme of the United States' position in the world. From this discussion the article identifies through empirical analysis the characteristics of the US economy and the Chinese economy, as well as the interdependence between them. Within this scope the article also discusses the impacts of these changes in inter-state relations between China and the USA and the consequences for the other countries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
