TECHNOLOGY SURVEY: A SAMPLING OF POWER AMPLIFIERS.

The article focuses on radio frequency (RF) power technology and the future of Gallium nitrate (GaN) and its application in the defense and commercial sectors. It is noted that The Laterally Diffused Metal Oxide Semiconductors (LDMOS) has been the main source of power generation technology for cellular base stations for many years. The author observes that the longest-serving RF power technology was the vacuum electron devices (VEDs).
