Abstract

The article discusses a study which aimed to further understand pain in Parkinson's disease. The study used an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) approach to examine the essence of the personal experiences of pain in patients with Parkinson's patients. It examined the effect of both the participants' pain and Parkinson's disease on their relationship with family and spouse and the association between their pain and feelings of suffering, despair and anxiety.
