La inmigración y su contribución a la sociedad civil española y el desarrollo.

Organizations formed by immigrants, or that have their origin in immigration, have become a new component of Spanish civil society. A new player has been added to the entities of the Third Sector, dedicated both to social care work for immigrants and the cooperation for development with their own countries. In this new situation, immigrant associations have gained a public presence in Spanish institutional spaces and, in some cases, in agencies of their countries of origin. The role adopted by immigrant associations has also brought about organizational changes for them, transforming them into Non-Governmental Development Organizations and establishing new forms of relationship with them.
