Abstract

The edge sites of NiMoS are highly catalytically active and are preferred over the surfaces. However, the stacking of the NiMoS layers is thermodynamically favored and limits the exposure of the active surface. Herein, we engineer the nanoflower structure to expose surface active sites through the synthesis of NiMoS nanoflowers assembled from ultrathin nanosheets. The well‐controlled fabrication of small NiMoS nanoflowers under the assistance of small silica nanospheres exposes abundant active sites. The exposed active sites and high surface area lead to superior hydrodesulfurization performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
