AVALIAÇÃO DA FREQUÊNCIA BASAL DE MICRONÚCLEOS EM CÉLULAS BASAIS DA MUCOSA BUCAL EM PACIENTES COM CÂNCER BUCAL: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA.

Introduction: The frequency of micronucccle appears high in exposed tissues well before any clinical symptom is evident, making it a valuable tool in the prevention of oral carcinogenesis. Objective: to analyze, from the literature, evaluation of the basal frequency of micronuccle in basal cells of the oral mucosa in patients with oral cancer. Method: integrative review, having as a guiding question: is there a change in micronuccle frequency in patients with oral cancer? The inclusion criteria were: articles available online in the period 2012 to 2017, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, covering the theme of the study, in the databases Scielo and Pubmed, using the descriptors: micronuccle (micronuccle) and cancer of the mouth (cancer of the mouth/mouth cancer). 356 articles were detected, 23 met the inclusion criteria. Results: In a joint analysis of the articles, it was observed that the studies affirmed the elevation of micronuccle frequency. Conclusion: Therefore, it is important the scientific production about the basal frequency of micronuccle, aiming at the applicability of the micronuccle test. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
