Abstract

This paper applied trans-log stochastic frontier analysis (SKA) based panel data model to estimate the water resources efficiency of the industrial sectors and water-saving potential of total 38 industrial sectors in Henan. 'Hie results indicate that the current efficiency of industrial water resources is 0.695 and gross water-saving potential of industrial sectors is 855 million m3; the water-saving potential is relatively high in 12 industrial sectors, which accounts for 92% of the gross water-saving potential of all the 38 industrial sectors in Henan.
