Abstract

The author contends that aggression by the Russian government and tension in its relations with the U.S. during the early 21st century is a direct result of the Soviet Union's loss in the Cold War. The article also discusses the significance of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and its stance toward Russia.
