Abstract

The article explores the history of Texas that was part of Mexico from 1821 through 1836, when it became a republic. It mentions that between 1824 and 1836, 11 men served as president of Mexico and their actions had a big impact on the future of the state including Guadalupe Victoria, Vincente Guerrero, and Jose M. Bocanegra.
