The article states that scholars and civil rights experts presented various findings concerning the establishment of a more equitable disciplinary system for students, particularly minority students and students with disabilities, identified as being disproportionately singled out for discipline in U.S. schools during the 2018 annual meeting of the group the American Educational Research Association.
