Abstract
- The article looks at the emergence of sectarianism in Lebanon in 2018. The trend is attributed to government paralysis and corruption affecting the country's religious quota system. The effect of the power-sharing system in the government is explored. Also discussed are the call for reforming the religious quota system and the concern over the influx of Sunni Syrian refugees.
