Abstract
- The article presents the views of various editors, agents, booksellers and librarians on the middle grade books category. Middle school librarian and library services director Jennifer Hubert Swan thinks middle grade as books that feature a 10-, 12-, or 13-year-old protagonist. Chronicle Books editor Taylor Norman says middle grade just refers to an age range. Publisher Namrata Tripathi considers middle grade as an industry term that the general public does not know or really need to learn.
