Lessons from the current European Heart Rhythm Association consensus document on screening for atrial fibrillation.

In this paper, we reviewed the atrial fibrillation screening strategies in a stepwise manner and discussed the uncertainties in the assessment of the need for anticoagulation in light of the recently published European Heart Rhythm Association consensus document.
