Erythrophagocytosis by T-cell lymphoma cells in a patient with hereditary spherocytosis post-splenectomy.

The article presents a case study of a 36-year-old man who had been diagnosed with hereditary spherocytosis nine years ago and was treated by splenectomy. Results of his bone marrow biopsy and peripheral blood film showed erythrophagocytosis by t-cell lymphoma cells. According to the authors, erythrophagocytosis is a phenomenon that is usually associated with monocytes or macrophages.
