Abstract
- The article offers information on the epidemiology of multidrug-resistant enterobacteriaceae. It mentions transmissibility of non–Escherichia coli Enterobacteriaceae in comparison with E. coli is higher. It also mentions rate of ESC-resistant Enterobacteriaceae acquisition in intensive care is higher to the prevalence of colonization at admission. It mentions impact of cessation of contact precautions for ESBL-producing E. coli have no consequences on the incidence of nosocomial transmissions.
