Abstract

The article offers information on a feasibility study which examined the use of inorganic semiconductor nanoparticle-based membrane voltage nanosensors. It presents a method for inserting and placing nanorods (NRs) in the membrane. It shows that the nanosensors can be used for recording electrical signals and action potentials from neurons.
