Abstract
- In this article, the author discusses challenges associated with publication of a surgical research presented to a conference as a peer-reviewed paper, citing his experience as an editor of the periodical. He states that revisions usually improve a paper, and rejections may improve the journal, and mentions that low publication rate reflects a failure to progress from conference to published paper. It notes academicians and scholars have a higher conversion rate to successful publication.
