Measurement-Based Optimization of Aperture Tunable Antennas.

The article discusses how the evolution of the industrial design toward large displays, large batteries, and thin profiles has led to optimization of aperture tunable antennas. It notes that tunable antennas also facilitate the implementation of adaptive tuning called closed loop tuning. It adds that technologies are currently available for implementing reconfigurable networks to be used as antenna tuners.
